Settings and troubleshooting

The Settings tab holds a coworker’s name, model, time limit, internet access and on/off switch. See How it runs for what each one does.

  • Turn off: in Settings, switch off Enabled. It ignores Slack and skips its schedules until you switch it on again.
  • Delete: in Settings, click Delete coworker. Schedules and Slack replies stop right away, and a task in progress ends. Its notes stay on GitHub, so you can create it again with the same name and it picks its memory back up. Delete its Slack app yourself in Slack.

It doesn’t answer in a channel. Invite it with /invite @name, and check that it’s listed under Where it listens on the Slack tab. If the Status card shows a Last error, its code says why the last reply could not be posted.

“I couldn’t start: its creator’s GitHub connection can’t reach the memory repo.” The creator’s GitHub connection has no access to the notes repo. Run droneship connect as the creator, and give it access to that repo.

“I couldn’t start: this workspace’s plan is out of hours for this month.” The project has used its sandbox hours. See Usage and Limits in the console.

“I’m turned off.” Someone switched off Enabled in Settings.

“I don’t answer direct messages. Mention me in a channel instead.” Answer direct messages is off on the Slack tab.

“I couldn’t finish this (…). Run …” The task failed. Open the run on the Runs tab to see its steps and the error. A tool the job needs might be off on the Tools tab.
