FAQ
Where does my code run?
Section titled “Where does my code run?”In a cloud sandbox that Droneship starts for each session, with a fresh clone of your repo. Only the CLI runs on your laptop. You don’t need a cloud account or cloud credentials. See What is Droneship and Isolation and identity.
What can leave the sandbox?
Section titled “What can leave the sandbox?”Only traffic to the hosts its egress policy allows: the egress bundle, plus or minus the project’s egress rules. The default bundle is baseline-secure; pci-scope and open-dev are the others, picked with --policy-bundle. Anyone in the project can allow or deny hosts in the console. Model calls go through the Highflame gateway unless you choose --direct. See Egress.
Can I use my Claude subscription?
Section titled “Can I use my Claude subscription?”Yes. For an interactive session, run droneship run claude --subscription, then sign in inside the sandbox. Codex takes your ChatGPT plan the same way. A prompt run has nobody in the sandbox to sign in, so run claude setup-token and export the token it prints as CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN; the run then bills to your plan. That works for Claude Code only. See Harnesses and models.
What happens when I close my laptop?
Section titled “What happens when I close my laptop?”The agent keeps running in the sandbox. A live session stops after 30 minutes with nobody connected (--idle), and every sandbox stops at 8 hours by default (--timeout). Your workspace is saved, and the next droneship run claude starts from it. A prompt run keeps going until it finishes. See Auto-stop.
How do I stop everything?
Section titled “How do I stop everything?”List the running sandboxes, then kill each one by id. No single command stops them all.
droneship listdroneship kill <id>Killing a sandbox keeps its saved workspace. droneship workspace delete deletes the workspace. See droneship kill.
How do I get my changes back?
Section titled “How do I get my changes back?”droneship diff shows what the agent changed, droneship pull fetches it into a local branch, and droneship pr opens a pull request. See Review and land.
Can my teammates see my sandboxes?
Section titled “Can my teammates see my sandboxes?”No. The console shows each person only the sandboxes they launched. See Work as a team.
How long is my workspace kept?
Section titled “How long is my workspace kept?”Until you run droneship workspace delete or launch with --fresh. There’s no set expiry. A stopped prompt run is kept for 7 days. See Workspaces.
What does it cost?
Section titled “What does it cost?”The console’s Usage page shows each sandbox’s running time and estimated AI spend, and Limits shows what your plan allows. Model calls through the gateway are measured there. They bill to your own API key, or to your own plan with --subscription or a claude setup-token token. The Free plan allows 5 sandboxes at once and 30 sandbox hours a month, in one project. Its one-user-per-project limit isn’t enforced yet. To switch to Pro, which has no limit on sandboxes, hours, projects or users, contact sales@highflame.com. See The console and Limits.
